Dr. Jun-Wei Zha is a Professor of the School of Chemistry and Biological Engineering at University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB). He received his Ph.D. degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2010. He studied as Jiont-Ph.D in the Electrical Power Engineering at University of Southampton (Sponsored by CSC) from 2009 to 2010. He worked as Senior Associate Researcher in the Department of Physics and Materials Science at City University of Hong Kong from 2013 to 2014. He selected as “Hong Kong Scholar” and worked at City University of Hong Kong from 2014 to 2016. His research interests focus on advanced dielectric polymer materials, thermal management in nanodielectrics, multi-field coupling effect of dielectric and nano-micro control mechanism, dielectrics for Energy Storage and its basic theory, insulating materials. Prof. Zha is the session chair of many domestic and international conferences and TPC member of CEIDP 2019. He also serves as the associate editor of IET Nanodielectrics, editorial board member of AJEAS and guest editor of High Voltage Engineering. He is currently the member of Engineering Dielectrics Committee of China Electrotechnical Society, member of IEEE DEIS, member of The Society of Hong Kong Scholars, secretary-general of Dielectric Polymer Composites Committee of Chinese Society for Composite Materials, and council Member of Chinese Society for Composite Materials, etc.

Scientific research achievements

Prof. Zha has authored or co-authored over 170 papers in referred journals, conference proceeding papers and 15 patents. He also has co-authored an English book and a Chinese Book. He has been honored by National Natural Science Foundation of China as National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, and also honored by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission as Beijing Nova Program.
